Worksafe now has an assessment tool for helping employers decide what work requires a vaccinated employee. Worksafe states that the focus in the risk assessment must be on the role – the work being done – rather than the individual performing the role. You can access the assessment tool here

We are delighted to announce that Anna Elder has been appointed a Director of the firm. Anna leads our Private Client team and also works closely with the Primary Industries team. She has overall responsibility for the firm’s Estate administration practice with a strong interest in elder law, including trusts, asset planning, ownership structures and Enduring Powers of Attorney.

We are so proud that Preston Russell Law has produced another judge with the appointment of Mike Mika to the District Court. This is a tremendous honour for both Mike and the firm, as well as a significant appointment for the Invercargill Criminal Bar and the Pasifika community. We will miss Mike’s humour, kindness and humbleness but we know that he will be a fantastic addition to the the District Court bench. Mike will be sworn in on 8 March 2021.
