After growing up in Winton, it was a no-brainer for Alice to return to Southland to begin her career in a community that she understands.
Alice enjoys providing practical and cost-effective advice to clients in a timely manner. She regularly assists with:
- Employment disputes – attending mediation with clients and acting for employees or employees dealing with personal grievances;
- Drafting and reviewing employment agreements;
- Civil litigation – assisting with civil and contractual disputes;
- Visa applications to Immigration New Zealand – including Work, Visitor, Resident, and Partnership visa applications.
Alice is also classified as Junior Crown Counsel.
Alice was recently elected onto Te Hunga Rōia Māori, the New Zealand Māori Law Society, as the regional representative for Dunedin and Southland. She joins the National Executive having previously acted as President for the Otago Māori Law Students Association whilst she was at University. Also during her time at University Alice volunteered for a local law centre, was employed as a Research Assistant for the Law Faculty, and represented Otago during her final two years in National Mooting Competition Finals.
Alice was admitted in August 2017
