Riki Donnelly is a Partner at Preston Russell Law and practises within our Litigation, Employment and Resource Management teams.He has a particular interest in regulatory and administrative law.

As Senior Crown Counsel he has significant experience in the courtroom. He also enjoys working with other public bodies, individuals and not-for-profit organisations. This sees him undertaking a range of work; from collective bargaining to contractual disputes, environmental appeals to forfeiture hearings.

His areas of work sees him regularly engage with environmental experts, financial specialists and health and safety consultants.

Originally from Gisborne, Southland is now Riki’s home. However, his affiliation with the East Coast and Ngāti Porou defines him as a person and a legal practitioner, and has instilled in him a respect for tradition and the importance of manaakitanga.

Riki’s past community involvement includes being a Board Member of the Southland Community Law Centre and an Executive member of Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa.
