Preston Russell Law

 A partner at Preston Russell since 1992, John Young's work encompasses a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including family protection matters, media, and commercial disputes.

Most of John's work is around dispute resolution or advising on rights particularly in respect to media matters, commercial disputes and family protection claims.

John has appeared in tribunals from the Court of Appeal down to the District Court. He regularly appears in the High Court and Civil Court on criminal and civil matters. He also handles a lot of commercial litigation.

He is a past president of the Southland District Law Society and was recently elected to the Board of the Invercargill Licensing Trust.
