Nicole is a member of our Litigation and Employment teams.

Nicole was born and raised in rural Southland and went on to graduate from the University of Canterbury with an Honours degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History. She spent her final semester studying abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden. After completing a scholarship program with Simpson Grierson in Wellington during her studies, Nicole chose to pursue alternative career options.

In 2016 she joined the Preston Russell team in Invercargill as a law graduate, working in employment law and criminal prosecution. Since being admitted to the bar and obtaining her practising certificate in early 2017, Nicole has had a range of litigation experience.

Nicole works primarily alongside partners Mary-Jane Thomas and Riki Donnelly, attending mediations and Employment Relations Authority hearings, as well as District Court and High Court proceedings. She has appeared on a number of bail and sentencing matters in the District Court, as well as completing legal research and submissions for Court.

Outside of work, Nicole can be found reading or blogging in the corner of a café, or playing a variety of sports including netball and basketball.
