Rebecca McLeod is a Senior Associate. She provides advice from our Winton office (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30am - 3pm) and is available by appointment in Mossburn.

Rebecca’s first 4 years of practice focused on private client and commercial work. She is therefore well placed to advise on a broad range of legal matters which has latterly focused on the Employment Law, Health and Safety, and the Rural sector.

Rebecca is based in Northern Southland working between her roles at Preston Russell and assisting in her family’s extensive Dairy Farming business. This background gives Rebecca a unique perspective when assisting clients. Rebecca’s practical farming knowledge reassures clients that her advice comes from both legal and farming experience, allowing her to provide a practical and common sense approach to meet her client’s needs.

Rebecca is a senior member of the firm’s Employment team, she has an intimate knowledge of Health and Safety laws and the application of these for her clients. Rebecca has worked with the Dairy Women’s Network assisting in the formulation of the Health and Safety module and presented this throughout the South Island.

Between balancing her work and spending time with her young family, Rebecca also supports the local community. Rebecca is a board member of the Southland Free Kindergarten Association and is President of the Mossburn Plunket Group. She also assists the Dipton Community Baths Trust and the Winton Community Support Worker Committee.
