Community Involvement

Mike joined the firm in 2003 after a distinguished rugby career. From 1992 to 1999 he played NPC for Otago and Southland, Super 12, and Test rugby (Manu Samoa). He went to the 1995 and 1999 Rugby World Cups. He is a SANZAAR Judicial Technical Advisor and was recently appointed to the same role on the World Rugby Judicial Panel. Mike is also:

  • Trustee of the Murihiku Maori and Pasifika Cultural Trust
  • Deputy Chairman of the Invercargill Licencing Trust and ILT Foundation
  • Member of the Council of the Southland Branch of the New Zealand Law Society
  • Mentor in the FYD Project K programme
  • Chairman of James Hargest College Rugby Club
